Phytotoxicity: Do not apply to any plants under conditions of extreme heat or drought stress. Phytotoxicity is known to occur on some vegetables, especially Brussels sprouts, under such conditions.
Action Modes: Chlorpyrifos acts as a contact, stomach, and respiratory poison. It is a non-systemic insecticide. This means it does not move through the plant’s vascular system.
Anti-Resistance Strategy: To prevent pest resistance, do not rely solely on chlorpyrifos. Rotate it with insecticides from different chemical groups. For instance, it is often mixed with pyrethroids (e.g., cypermethrin, lambda-cyhalothrin) to enhance efficacy and manage resistance.
