Cyflumetofen 200g/l caricide

I. Product Overview and Mechanism of Action

Used for the control of major mites on fruit trees, vegetables, tea trees, and other crops and flowers.

Mechanism of Action

Cyflumetofen is a non-systemic acaricide belonging to the β-ketonitrile derivative class.

Its mechanism of action is unique—by inhibiting mitochondrial protein complex II in mites,

it hinders electron transport and disrupts phosphorylation, thereby cutting off the energy source of harmful mites.

After application, the agent enters the mite’s body through contact and is metabolized to produce the highly active substance AB-1.

This metabolite can inhibit mitochondrial complex II at extremely low concentrations.

Mechanism of Action

Contact-based: This product is non-systemic and primarily works through contact.
Fast-acting: Adult mites treated with this product show paralysis within 24 hours.
Control throughout the entire life cycle: It has good activity against all developmental stages of mites, from eggs and nymphs to adults, especially larvae.
Long-lasting effect: It has long-lasting control capabilities.
No cross-resistance: Unlike existing mainstream acaricides, it has a different mechanism of action and is significantly effective against resistant mite strains.
Good safety: It is relatively safe for insects, crustaceans, and vertebrates; no phytotoxicity has been observed at conventional dosages.
