Usage Instructions
Diazinon is a broad-spectrum organophosphate insecticide that works through contact, stomach poisoning, and fumigation.
Note: It is highly toxic to bees and moderately toxic to aquatic organisms. Use with extreme caution.
1. Controlling Soil Pests (e.g., grubs, mole crickets, wireworms)
This is the most common use of diazinon, typically applied as seed treatment or soil drench.
Wheat seed treatment: Use 50% EC(Emulsifiable Concentrate). Mix 75 mL with 3.75 L of water per acre, and treat 37 kg of wheat seeds. Allow seeds to absorb the solution and air-dry before sowing.
- **Corn/sorghum seed treatment: Use 50% EC. Mix 500 mLwith 25 L of water to treat 250–300 kg of seed. Effective against mole crickets and grubs.
-Vegetables (e.g., chives): To control chive gnat larvae, mix 40% diazinon dust at 0.3%–0.5% of seed weight.
2. Controlling Foliar Pests (e.g., aphids, cabbage worms, spider mites)
For sucking and leaf-chewing pests on cotton and vegetables, use as a foliar spray.
Cotton: To control cotton aphids and spider mites, use 40–60 mL of 50% EC per acre, mixed with 40–60 L of water.
-Vegetables: To control aphids and cabbage worms, use 50–75 mL of 50% EC per acre, mixed with 60–70 L of water.
3. Controlling Rice Pests
Rice leaf miner: Spray 40% EC diluted1,000–1,300 times (e.g., 1 mL per 1–1.3 L of water). Ensure both upper and lower leaf surfaces are covered.
