Four major diseases of Rice

Rice blast, sheath blight, rice smut and white leaf blight are four major diseases of rice.

–Rice blast disease

1, Symptoms

(1) After the disease occurs on rice seedlings, the base of the diseased seedlings becomes gray and black, and the upper part becomes brown and rolls and dies. In the case of high humidity, a large number of gray and black mildew layers will appear in the diseased department.

(2) After the disease occurs on rice leaves, small dark green spots will appear on the leaves, and then gradually expand into spindle spots. The center of the spots is gray, the edges are brown, and there are pale yellow halo outside. In the case of damp, there are gray mold layers on the back of the leaves.

2. How to prevent and cure it

During the early stage of infection,Mixing Tricyclazole 450-500g diluted with 450L water per hectare ,spraying . 

–Sheath blight disease

1, Symptoms

(1) After leaf infection, there will be moire spots, edges of yellowing, if the onset speed is fast, then the spots are dirty green and the leaves will soon rot.

(2) When the neck of the ear is damaged, it turns dirty green, and then greyish-brown, and cannot go to go, and the husk of grain increases, and the weight of a thousand grains drops.

2. How to prevent and cure it

(1) Generally, Hexaconazole, Tebuconazole can be used to prevent sheath blight.

(2) Cultivation management should be strengthened at ordinary times. Formulated fertilization technology should be adopted, with sufficient base fertilizer, early topdressing, no nitrogen fertilizer and reasonable increase of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, so as to reduce the disease.

-Rice smut disease

1, Symptoms

(1) Rice smut disease generally occurs only in the early stage, which will harm part of the grain. In the affected grain, mycelium blocks will form and gradually expand, and then the inner and outer glume will split, revealing pale yellow blocks, namely sporophyte.

(2) and then wrapped on both sides of the internal and external glumes, the color is black green, in the early stage, the outside wrapped with a layer of film, and then cracked and scattered dark green powder.

2. How to prevent and cure it

Can use 5% Jinggangmycin SL 1-1.5L mixing with 450L water per hectare . 

-White leaf blight disease

1, Symptoms

(1) For the acute type of white leaf blight, after the onset of the disease, the diseased leaves are gray green and rapidly lose water, curl to the inside and show green withered shape, this symptom is generally seen in the upper part of the leaves, does not spread to the whole plant.

(2) For etiolated white leaf blight, at the initial stage of the disease, the diseased leaves will not die, but can generally be flattened or partially flattened, with irregular chlorotic spots on them, and then develop into yellow or large spots.

2. How to prevent and cure it

(1) Can use Matrine 0.5%SL ,mixing 0.8-1L with 450L water ,spraying .
