Applicaton:

1.Rice:

It is most effective when applied at the 2-4 leaf stage of weeds.

Application Rate: General recommendations for application of Penoxsulam 25g/L OD range from 0.4 to 0.6 liters per hectare.

Application Timing: Apply post-emergence at 15-20 days after transplanting.

Target Weeds: Controls barnyardgrass (Echinochloa crus-galli), water plantain (Alisma plantago-aquatica), small-flower umbrella sedge (Cyperus difformis), and other broadleaf weeds.

2.Orchards & Vineyards:

Pre-Emergence: For pre-emergence applications, preferred rates range from 9 to 70 g ai/ha.

Application Timing: In citrus and olive groves, post-emergence applications are often timed to coincide with the early growth stages of target weeds.

Weed Control: Penoxsulam can be part of a glyphosate-alternative program, with research showing it is promising for controlling hairy fleabane in olive groves. It is also used in vineyard floor management.

3.Other Agricultural Crops:

Cereals: It is effective against broadleaf weeds in corn, sorghum, wheat, barley, and other cereal crops.

Sugarcane: Penoxsulam controls weeds like yellow nutsedge and eclipta at rates of 0.5–0.8 L/ha (25g/L OD). It should be applied post-emergence during the 3–6 leaf stage.

Cautions:

1.Resistance Management:Rotate with herbicides from other groups to manage resistance

2.PHI: Refer to local label; often 30-60 days.

3.Crop Rotation Restrictions: After harvesting rice, do not plant cotton, soybean, or sensitive crops like potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, and watermelon within eight months.

4.Grapes PHI: 165 days

Crop Rotation: Avoid planting sweet potatoes or beets in treated fields the following season.
