Short Description:

Mode of Action of Nitenpyram:

Systemic insecticide with contact and stomach action.

Nitenpyram works by acting as a nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) agonist (IRAC Group 4A), overstimulating the insect nervous system, leading to paralysis and rapid death.

Key Properties / USPs:

1. Fast-acting – insects stop feeding within minutes and die within hours

2. Excellent systemic activity – rapidly absorbed and translocated throughout the plant

3. Effective against a broad range of sucking and some chewing pests

4. Low toxicity to mammals when used as directed

5. Compatible with most commonly used fungicides and insecticides

6. Suitable for use in IPM (Integrated Pest Management) programs

7. Effective at low application rates, providing cost-effective pest control

8. No cross-resistance with organophosphates, carbamates, or pyrethroids
